Universal Dome Base

Since its inclusion in Polar Lights first newly tooled model, the Star Trek U.S.S. Enterprise refit, consumers have been requesting Polar Lights' unique dome base for use with other models. The PVC dome base supports a sturdy metal rod which can be inserted directly into a model or attach the included ball joint to allow the buildup to be angled as desired. With a simple modification (simply drilling a 5mm hole) most medium and small aircraft and spaceship models can be displayed atop the stand. The dome is a portion of a perfect sphere allowing it to be displayed as a clean black base or it can be painted to look like a planet.
