In 1994, Paramount Pictures brought together two generations of Star Trek lore by having Capt. Jean-Luc Picard meet his counterpart, the legendary Capt. James T. Kirk. In addition to this event, the film introduced audiences to the next generation of Enterprise, the sleek new U.S.S. Enterprise 1701B. Although different from stem to stern it was still completely Enterprise. The 1701B is a fan favorite version of the ship.
